Nail Surgery

Suffering from ingrowing toenails?
Do you need nail surgery? If you, a friend, or a family member suffer from ingrowing toenails, don’t wait to get treated. Ingrowing toenails can be painful and unattractive. If left untreated they can adversely impact on your daily activities and wellbeing.
Ingrowing toenails are caused by impingement of the skin along the margins over the nail, or by badly cut or misshapen nails growing into the surrounding skin. Some ingrowing toenails are a chronic problem with repeated episodes of pain, inflammation and infection.

Nail Surgery Performed At Our Clinic
In the majority of cases, the ingrowing section of the nail can be cut back by the podiatrist. Where the problem is persistent, nail surgery is a highly effective, permanent procedure.
This surgery can be carried out at the clinic using a local anaesthetic. Only a small section of the toenail is usually removed, meaning that the appearance of the toenail typically reverts back to nearly normal after it has healed.
Our podiatrist will discuss the most appropriate procedure with you in order to establish a suitable treatment.
